Diagnostic Test: Self-Diagnosis Mode

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Testing and Inspection.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Always check for and resolve all CAN DTCs before troubleshooting the navigation system.
- The navigation only displays the trip information. The calculations are done in the gauge control module.
- Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system.
- After troubleshooting, enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system.
- Verify that the correct navigation unit is installed for this model. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use Version.
- Make sure that the correct navigation DVD color and version are installed.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.

Do the System Links check to check the communication line between the PCM (FI-ECU) and the navigation unit.

1. Start the engine.

2. Go into the Self-Diagnosis Mode, and use Trip Information diagnostic under System Links.

Are the values greater than zero?

YES -

The system is OK.�

NO -

Check for B or F-CAN DTCs, then troubleshoot them.�
