Fuel Fill Door Opener Cable Replacement

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts.
- Take care not to kink the opener cable.
1. Remove these items:
- Rear seat cushion
- Rear seat side bolster, left side
- Front door sill trim, driver's side
- Kick panel, driver's side
- B-pillar lower trim, left side
- Cargo area side trim panel, left side Interior Trim Removal / Installation - Rear Side Area
- Fuel fill door opener Service and Repair
- Fuel cap adapter Service and Repair
2. Pull back the carpet as needed.
3. Release the opener cable (A) from the clip (B) and the hooks (C) of the wire harness bands. Remove the wire harness band (D) and the cushion tape (E).
4. Pinch the hooks (A) from inside the vehicle, remove the grommet (B) from the body.
5. Release the hook (A), then remove the grommet (B) from the fuel fill door latch (C).
6. Remove the fuel fill door opener cable from the vehicle.
7. Install the opener cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Align the marks (A) on the opener cable (B) with the cable clip (C), the wire harness band (D) and the cushion tapes (E) as shown.
- Replace any damaged clips, and replace the cushion tape.
