Rear Seat Removal/Installation

Seat Cushion

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the rear seat.

1. Lift the seat cushion front end, and tilt the cushion forward.

2. Remove the rear cushion link ends (A) from the link bracket. With the help of an assistant, remove the left rear seat cushion (B) and the right rear seat cushion (C) through both the rear door openings.






3. Install the seat cushion in the reverse order of removal.

Seat-back

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the rear seat.

1. Remove the seat cushion.

2. Remove the head restraint and the center head restraint.

3. Remove the rear center seat belt lower anchor bolt (A) and the rear seat bolt securing the rear seat.





4. Fold the seat-back forward.

5. Remove the cargo area lid.

6. Remove the nuts securing the rear seat-back.

Right rear seat-back





7. With the help of an assistant, remove the left rear seat-back and the right rear seat-back through both the rear door openings.

8. Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Before installing the anchor bolt, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the center seat belt.
- Tighten the seat bolt and the nuts to the specified torque.

Seat Side Bolster

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Fold the seat-back down.

2. Remove the rear door sill trim.

3. Remove the seat side bolster mounting bolt.

4. Pull out the seat belt (A) through the slit (B) in the seat belt guide (C).





5. Lift up the seat side bolster (D) to release the hook (E), then remove the seat side bolster.

6. Install the seat side bolster in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Before attaching the seat side bolster, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.
- Guide the belt over the front of the seat side bolster as you install the bolster.
