Combination Switch: Service and Repair

Combination Light Switch Test/Replacement

1. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover Driver's Dashboard Undercover Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the dashboard lower cover Driver's Dashboard Lower Cover Removal / Installation.

3. Remove the steering column covers Steering Column Cover Removal/Installation.

4. Disconnect the 12P connector (A) from the combination light switch (B).





5. Remove the two screws, then slide out the combination light switch.

6. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 7.

7. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.





8. If all the continuity is not as specified, remove the two screws and replace the switch.

9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
