Idle Up Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
CONTINUITY, CHECKING- connect ohmmeter between terminal 1 of the test connection and terminal 15 of the central connector
^ with idle stabilizer valve disconnected
^ specification: zero OHMS (continuity)
- connect ohmmeter to terminal 2 of the test connection and terminal 3 of the central connector
^ with idle stabilizer valve disconnected
^ specification: zero OHMS(continuity)
If specification NOT OK
- check for open circuit, using current flow diagram
VOLTAGE SUPPLY, CHECKING
- disconnect idle stabilizer valve wiring
- connect voltmeter between terminal 2 of idle stabilizer valve connector and ground cable
- switch ON ignition
^ specification: approximately battery voltage
- switch OFF ignition
- connect ohmmeter between terminal 3 of the idle stabilizer valve connector and terminal 3 of the disconnected terminal of the KE - control unit
^ specification: zero OHMS (continuity)
- connect ohmmeter between terminal 1 of the idle stabilizer valve connector and terminal 4 of the disconnected terminal of the KE - control unit
- specification: zero OHMS (continuity)
If specifications NOT OK
- check for open circuit, using current flow diagram
- reconnect idle stabilizer valve connector
- connect ohmmeter between terminal 3 and 4 of the disconnected terminal of the KE - control unit
^ specification: 24 - 30 OHMS
If specification NOT obtained
- replace idle stabilization valve.
