DTC 2114
^ Hall sensor signal out of phase. The ECU compares the signal from the hall sensor to that of the crankshaft position sensor. If the crankshaft position calculated from the hall sensor signal does not agree with the crankshaft position sensor signal, then the ECU concludes that the distributor is incorrectly set and stores this code. This code will also set if the hall sensor signal is intermittent or absent. This code may be caused by:
a. Distributor basic setting incorrect.
b. Fault in crankshaft position sensor circuit (see code 2112).
c. Circuits between hall sensor connector (terminals #1, #2, or #3) and ECU (terminals 23B, 11B, or 1B respectively) open, grounded, or shorted to each other or to battery power.
d. Defective hall sensor.
e. Incorrect camshaft timing (timing belt skipped).
f. Faulty ECU.
