Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

PREPARATION
- Engine oil temperature 30°C (86°F) minimum.
- Throttle valve fully opened.
- Disconnect power output stage of ignition coil.
- Remove all spark plugs.
- Remove fuse 13.

TEST
- Check compression pressure using US 1120 recorder/tester.
- Operate starter until recorder shows NO further increase in pressure.

New = 10 to 14 bar (145 psi to 203 psi)
Limit = 8 bar (116 psi)

- Maximum permissible difference between all cylinders: 3 bar (44 psi)
