Solenoid Valve Relay Check
1. Turn ignition switch to the Off position.
2. Remove solenoid valve relay from hydraulic modulator. Refer to Fig. 6, for solenoid valve terminal locations.
3. Measure continuity between solenoid valve relay terminals 30 and 87a. Continuity should measure 0.0 ohms.
4. Measure resistance between solenoid valve relay terminals 85 and 86. Continuity should measure between 70-120 ohms.
5. Remove black connector from top of hydraulic modulator. Check for continuity between connector terminal 8 and ground.
6. Check continuity between black hydraulic unit male terminal 8 and solenoid valve relay socket terminal 87a.
7. Check continuity between black hydraulic modulator connector terminal 12 and ABS control unit connector contact 32, Fig. 1.
8. Repair circuits for shorts or opens, if necessary. If continuity checks are satisfactory, but LEDs do not light up, replace solenoid valve relay.
