Condition

Noise heard while driving over uneven surfaces caused by friction between door sealing surface and the roof molding.

Service

If a vehicle exhibits this condition, noise can be eliminated by installing isolation tape Part No: AKL 43301204 along door edges where they contact the roof molding.

- Clean painted surfaces on all doors where upper door contacts the roof moldings with isopropyl alcohol.

Note:
The surface must be clean and dry before proceeding.





- Install isolation tape along -A- on front doors where the door edge contacts the roof molding.





- Install isolation tape along -A- on rear doors (if applicable) where the door edge contacts the roof molding.

- Road test vehicle to assure noise has been eliminated.
