Front Door: Service and Repair
Front door shell, assemblyWARNING!
DO NOT re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Many fasteners are designed to be used only once and may become unreliable and may tall when used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, self-locking nuts or bolts, circlips, cotter pins. For replacements always use new parts.
1 - Window slot seal
2 - Door component carrier
Removing:
- Remove front door trim panel. Service and Repair
- Unclip Bowden cable for door remote control from clip
- On vehicles with power windows and/or adjustable outside mirror, unplug connectors
- Unscrew hex bolts -16- and lift out support upward
Installing:
- Install all components in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- After installing carrier, always check upper stop for door window and adjust if necessary.

7 - Grommet
8 - Bellows
9 - Bolt
^ 6.0 Nm (53 in lb)
10 - Bolt
^ 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
11 - Lower door hinge
12 - Bolt
^ 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
13 - Door shell
^ Removing:
- Unplug connectors
- Remove hose for central door locking at door lock and unclip
- Unscrew bolts -6- and -12-
14 - Bolt head cap
15 - Bolt
^ 8.0 Nm
16 - Bolt
^ 30 Nm
17 - Impact bar
18 - Grommet
