Wheel bearing, replacing






1. Circlip
Install in wheel bearing housing; make sure circlip is correctly seated
Split points downward

2. Wheel bearing housing

3. Wheel bearing
Inner diameter has shoulder
Larger inner diameter points toward wheel hub
Pressing in and out - Fig.1

4. Cover plate
Bolt onto wheel bearing housing

5. Bolt 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

6. Wheel hub
For wheel bearing with shoulder

Note: First remove or install circlips.

Note: Use only a tensioning type puller such as Kukko 204/7 or equivalent.









Note: When pressing in, tool VW455 must only support the bearing inner race.
