Vacuum and Vapor Hose Diagrams




1 - Vacuum line
- To engine vacuum supply
2 - Vacuum reservoir
- Located on left side of heater box
- Checking:
- Remove vacuum outlet line (from reservoir) leading to two-way valves.
- Connect vacuum gauge to reservoir outlet connection.
- Start engine and run 1 minute.
- Switch engine OFF.
- Vacuum must hold steady and not drop more than 3 in. Hg (increase more than 100 mbar) in 2 minutes
3 - Check valve
- Checking:
- Use same procedure as for checking vacuum reservoir
4 - Engine coolant two-way vacuum valve -N147-
- Located on right side of heater box
5 - Engine coolant shutoff valve
- Located on left side of heater box
- Valve closes when vacuum is applied
- Check for vacuum/coolant leaks and for ease of movement
6 - Fresh air/recirculating flap vacuum motor
- Located in evaporator housing
- Recirculating mode when vacuum is applied
- Check for vacuum leaks
7 - Fresh air/recirculating flap two-way valve -N63-
- Located on left side of evaporator housing
