With Zexel Compressor

Tools required
- Multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent)
- VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/11 and 1598/12 adapter cables
- Connector test kit VW 1594
- LED tester US 1115
- Dial thermometer 91120 or equivalent

Test conditions
- All fuses OK as per wiring diagram
- Switch ignition OFF.
- Remove A/C control head -E87-.
- Connect VAG 1598/11 and VAG 1598/12 adapter cables to A/C control head connectors -A-, -B-, -C- and -D-.



- Leave A/C control head disconnected.

CAUTION!
- When performing electrical checks, DO NOT connect VAG 1598/11 or VAG 1598/12 adapter cables to A/C control head or damage to the control head will result.
- When using VAG 1598/11 adapter cable, VAG 1598 test box socket numbering is NOT the same as A/C control head connector numbering, VAG 1598 Test Box, Connecting.
- Set measuring range on multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) before connecting to test sockets or damage to electronic components may result.

NOTE: VAG 1598/11 and 1598/12 adapter cables cannot be connected simultaneously to VAG 1598 test box.

Electrical lest table

Requirements
- Set multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to resistance measuring range (20 k Ohms)
- Connect VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/11 adapter cable Connect multimeter to VAG 1598 socket numbers indicated





Test step 1 thru 6

Requirements
- Set multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to resistance measuring range (200 Ohms)
- Connect VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/12 adapter cable
- Connect multimeter to VAG 1598 socket numbers indicated





Test step 7 thru 10

Requirements
- Set multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to voltage measuring range (20 V)
- Connect VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/11 adapter cable Connect multimeter to VAG 1598 socket numbers indicated





Test step 11 thru 13

Requirements
- Use LED tester US 1115 for the following tests
- Connect VAG 1598 test box with VAG 1598/11 adapter cable Connect LED tester to VAG 1598 socket numbers indicated
