Cellular Phone: Description and Operation

CAUTION!
Before working on the electrical system:
- Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.


NOTE: After re-connecting the battery activate the vehicle's electrical equipment (radio, clock, power windows, engine).


Telephone system, pre-installed components
- Antenna for the radio and telephone (Avant).
- Wiring harness for the telephone system.
- On standard radio equipment the front bass speaker in the bottom of the front door trim and the midrange/treble in the top of the door trim are used as speakers for the hands-free system.
- On radios with the BOSE sound system a hands-free speaker is built into the front door trim on the driver's side.
- A hands-free microphone is built into the left side A-pillar trim.
