Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

Location: under rear seat, left side

NOTE:
^ Before removing the ABS control module, check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory using the VAG 1551 or equivalent scan tool. Refer to On Board Diagnostic in System Diagnosis. Testing and Inspection

Removal
1. Switch ignition off.
2. Remove tie-wrap (arrow -b-).
- Always replace tie wraps after installing the control module.
3. Depress spring (arrow -a-) to disconnect harness connector from ABS control module.
4. Remove both mounting screws (top arrows).

Installation
Reverse procedure to install.
