Programming and Relearning

Code Control Module (scan tool function 07)
If an ABS control module is replaced, or if the following malfunction is stored in DTC memory for the ABS control module:
- ABS/Trans. Electrical connection (DTC 00623)
The control module must be coded according to the type of engine and transmission.

Notes:
- The ABS control module can coded only if a dealership number is stored in the VAG 1551 scan tool.
Refer to VAG 1551 operating manual
- The 5-digit coding will appear when the control module identification is displayed.

- Connect VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Select "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 1 and insert "Brake Electronics" address word 03.
- Check control module version. Check Control Module Versions (Scan Tool Function 01)
- Press -> button.

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Input required code number.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.





Control Module Coding
