Replacement






1. Control arm bushing
- Driving out, refer to Fig. 1, below.
- Pressing in, refer to Fig. 2, below.
2. Control arm Right and left-hand versions are different
3. Ribbed bolt
- Press fully into control arm
4. Ball joint
- When removing, slot in wheel bearing housing must not be expanded
- Right and left-hand versions;
Odd Part No. on left side;
Even Part No. on right side
- Ball joint pin diameter: 19.0 mm (0.748 in.)
- After replacing, check wheel alignment
5. Washer
- Not used with ribbed nut; i.e. if ribbed nut is used for repair, washer is no longer required
6. Self-locking nut
- Always replace
- Tighten to: 65 Nm (48 ft lbs)

WARNING:
^ Nut, item 6, has been discontinued and is replaced by a self-locking ribbed nut.
^ Tightening torque for ribbed nut: 85 Nm (63 ft. lb)
^ When disconnecting the ball joint from the control arm, the ribbed nuts must be replaced.
^ To adjust camber, loosen the ribbed nuts only, then tighten again to 85 Nm (63 ft lbs)

- Clamp control arm in vise with protective jaws.
- Install hex bolt 10 x 80 mm and press piece 3206 in control arm.
- Thread in as shown using special tool.
- Tighten nuts.
