Seat Cover And Padding (sport Seat), Removing And Installing







1 - Seat cover

Removing
- Remove seat.
- Remove backrest.
- Remove drawer frame.
- Unclip harness connector - 2 - for seat heating element from holder (1x).
- Pry fabric fastening strip out of guide slot.
- Lift seat cover fabric - 1 - and cut through upholstery clips (inset - A -).
- Remove padding.

Installing
- Use VAG 1634 stapling tool to install new upholstery clips.
- When installing, staple transverse rods first, then longitudinal rods.

NOTE:
- As of VIN 4B XN 041 059 new seat cushions have been installed.
- Securing channels in seat cushions for longitudinal channels are deeper on the new cushions.
- When installing seat covers with old fitting specifications on new cushions, a chain must be formed with 2 cushion clamps in the deeper longitudinal channels and inserted at each securing point.
