Installation Position of Ground Wire

WARNING! Fire hazard. When working on the fuel system DO NOT smoke, work near heaters or have anything in the area that can ignite the fuel or fumes.

Installation position of Ground wire





- Route and connect Ground wire as shown.
- Make sure that both terminals for Ground connection make good electrical contact. Mount terminal with bolt for fuel filler neck. See Fuel Tank Assembly, Component Overview, item # 3 for 2wd vehicles, item # 12 for AWD vehicles.
- After installing, measure resistance using multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) between metal ring of fuel filler neck and bare metal part of body.

Specified value: approx. 0 Ohms
