Note:
^ Note or obtain radio code on vehicles with coded radio.
^ Disconnect battery ground strap with the ignition switched off
^ Lubricate all bearings and contact surfaces with polycarbamide grease G 052 142 A 2.

CAUTION: On vehicles equipped with Audi Telematics by OnStar (R) switch-off the emergency (back-up) battery for the Telematic/Telephone Control Module prior to disconnecting the vehicle battery. Switch-on the emergency (back-up) battery after reconnecting the vehicle battery.

^ Remove cover below instrument panel, before working on foot pedal cluster





^ Make sure brake fluid does not escape into footwell or plenum chamber or onto transmission below. If this does happen, clean the affected areas thoroughly.
^ Protect the carpet from brake fluid using rags, when performing work in the footwell.
