Front Door And Door Subframe, Removing And Installing







1 - Door subframe

NOTE: Before removing, mark the position of the subframe on the door using a fine felt-tip pen or similar device at suitable points, e.g. on collars of bolts and nuts.

Removing:
- Remove door trim panel.
- Disconnect electrical wiring and unclip from door subframe.
- Loosen hexagon nuts - 4 -.
- Unscrew hexagon bolts - 8 - and hexagon nut - 9 -.
- You can now lift off door subframe







Installing:
- Front door - 5 - must be adjusted before installing subframe
- Place subframe in door in line with markings and tighten lightly.


2 - Window lifter motor

Removing:
- Remove door trim panel.

NOTE: Window lifter motor can be installed with motor and window in any position.

- Unscrew Torx bolts - 3 - and take off motor.
- When installing, tighten bolts to 3 Nm + 0.5 Nm

NOTES:







- Proceed as follows to activate automatic window lifting and lowering functions.
- After installing motor and connecting wiring, switch on ignition.
- Raise window as far as it will go and release actuator.
- Then pull actuator for approx. 2 seconds into "close window" position.
- You have now activated the automatic window lifting and lowering functions.







3 - Screw
- 3 Nm
4 - Hexagon nut
- 30 Nm
5 - Front door
6 - Cupped rivet
7 - Support
- To remove, drill off rivet heads and knock out shanks.
- After installing and adjusting door subframe, press up adjuster to position support such that it rests between door and channel Fig. 1.
8 - Hexagon bolts
- 25 Nm
9 - Hexagon nuts
- 30 Nm

- Door subframe must be adjusted first
- Push up adjuster - 3 - of support - 2 - as far as it will go.

The adjuster's correct position is between door - 1 - and guide rail - 4 -.
