Electronic Power Control (EPC) Warning Lamp -K132- In Instrument Cluster

"EPC" is an abbreviation and stands for Electronic Power Control.

Engine Control Module (ECM) checks all components that are important for function of the EPC system after ignition is switched on.

If malfunctions are recognized in the EPC system during operation of the engine, the Engine Control Module (ECM) switches on the Electronic Power Control (EPC) Warning Lamp -K132-. An entry is made in DTC memory of ECM at the same time.

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Function Test

- Switch ignition on.
- Engine Control Module (ECM) switches EPC lamp on.

- Start engine.
- Shortly after engine is started, the EPC warning lamp will go out if there are no malfunctions stored in DTC memory that relate to the EPC

NOTE: The switch-on signal for Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is transferred from the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the instrument cluster via CAN-Bus. Check terminal resistance for CAN-Bus.
