Steering Wheel, Removing And Installing (Standard Steering Wheel)

- Torque wrench V.A.G 1331







- Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A







1 - bolts T30 (Qty. 2)
- Tightening torque 7 Nm
2 - Steering wheel
- Removal:
- Remove airbag unit (standard steering wheel).
- Bring steering wheel to center position (wheels straight).
- Remove screw - 7 -.
- Remove spiral spring connector - 3 -.
- With steering wheel heating: Remove steering wheel heating connector - 8 -.
- Remove steering wheel - 2 -.
- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
- Ensure connector and securing clip engage completely (audibly).
- Attach steering wheel in center position (wheels straight).
- Replace bolt - 7 - and tighten it to 50 Nm.
3 - Spiral spring connector
4 - Airbag unit connector
5 - Airbag unit
6 - Horn connector
7 - Socket head bolt
- Tightening torque 50 Nm
8 - Steering wheel heating connector
9 - Coil connector with slip ring
