Note: For DTC 00296 / P1704:
^ Requirements for malfunction recognition: throttle position signal is OK, throttle position value is less than 25 % and kick down input at Transmission Control Module (TCM) is shorted to Ground (GND) (equivalent to kick down signal).
^ Shirt circuit to B+ between kick down switch -F8- and TCM cannot be detected by OBD.
