Note for display field 1:
- Instead of "00" "0" can be displayed as well, if no request for air recirculation is present.
- Although no request from Sensor for air quality is present, "11", "12" or "13" can be displayed as well depending on hard/software version, for this reason observe display field 2 when this is displayed.
- With the compressor switched off the "Automatic air recirculation" function is limited to 15 seconds, this avoids the windows from fogging up.
- If Sensor for air quality -G238- has malfunction, the "Automatic air recirculation mode" is not possible.
- No air recirculation is possible during defrost mode, this helps to de fog windows more quickly.
- The purpose of the air quality sensor is to keep out temporary high concentrations of pollutants (load peaks) from outside air, coming into the passenger compartment. After the A/C Control Head -E87- receives a request from Sensor for air quality -G238-; the system switches from fresh air mode to air recirculation mode.
- If outside air pollution load remains high for longer period of time, the sensor starts to adapt itself to the changing environmental condition through an adaptation program (learning program), the air recirculation request in evenly polluted ambient air is therefore generally shorter than 12 minutes. The climate control system may also operate a longer period of time in air recirculation mode, if more load peaks occur after another.
- The "Partial air recirculation" function has been introduced for more comfort. Under certain operating conditions the preset temperature can be reached or maintained with low fresh air blower speed. The climate control system may operate for longer period of time in "Partial air recirculation mode" (e.g. to attain good cooling temperature at high outside temperatures, without operating constantly in air recirculation mode).
