Mode 4: Reset/Erase Diagnostic Data

The following functions are performed in this diagnostic mode:
- All emission relevant malfunctions in DTC memory will be erased.
- The operating conditions at which a malfunction was stored will be reset "See Mode 2: Check operating conditions". Diagnostic Mode 2: Check Operating Conditions
- All adaptation values will be reset.
- All test results of the diagnostic functions of control module will be reset.

Work procedure
- Connect diagnostic tester. Diagnostic Tester, Connecting
- Start engine and let run at idle.
- In diagnostic function "33 - OBD", first select "Mode 3: Check DTC memory". Diagnostic Mode 3: Check DTC Memory
- Then select "Mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data".
- Display: "Diagnostic data are being erased"

DTC memory is erased.

- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
