Locking Mechanisms, Removing And Installing

1 - Locking mechanism

Removing
- Remove mounting nut - 2 -.
- Warm bolts - 3 - (2x) using a hot air gun.
- Remove bolts - 3 - (2x) from both sides simultaneously.
- Disengage locking mechanism - 1 -.







Installing
- When engaging locking mechanism - 1 -, be sure that end of spring - 4 - is engaged behind crossbar - 5 - and metal guide - 6 - is engaged in bracket - 7 -.
- Secure bolts - 3 - using D00600A2 locking compound.
- Rest of installation is the reverse of removal.

2 - Mounting nuts
3 - Bolts, glued
- Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Secured with D00600A2 locking compound.

5 - Crossbar
6 - Metal guide
7 - Bracket

Removing
- Warm bolts - 2 - (2x) using a hot air gun.
- Remove bolts - 2 - (2x) from both sides simultaneously.
- Remove crossbar - 3 - toward front.
- Slide locking mechanism - 1 - downward to side of crossbar - 3 -.







Installing
- Slide locking mechanism - 1 - onto crossbar - 3 - from side.
- When engaging crossbar - 3 -, be sure that guide - 4 - is engaged at end of spring - 5 - behind crossbar - 6 -.
- Secure bolts - 2 - using D00600A2 locking compound.
- Rest of installation is the reverse of removal.

2 - Bolts, glued
- Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Secured with D00600A2 locking compound.
