Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Setting Up

Tire pressure monitoring system, setting up
It is necessary to set up the tire pressure monitoring system again if the control module has been changed or if malfunction "01487" has occurred.
^ First check whether the instrument cluster is correctly configured and encoded.
^ A "1" must be entered in display box 1 of measured value block 130.

If there is no entry:
^ Configure the instrument cluster accordingly
^ Switch the ignition off and on again once only.
^ Encode the control module for tire pressure monitoring.
^ Check DTC memory and then erase it

All wheels must have the correct tire pressures.
^ If necessary, inflate the tires to the correct pressure.
^ Now proceed in accordance with the instructions in the "Set up" menu; store the tire pressure in the "Store pressures" box and confirm the menu item.
^ Switch the ignition off and on again once only.
^ No malfunctions must have been recorded in the DTC memory of the instrument cluster and the tire pressure monitoring system control module.

If any malfunctions have been recorded, repair them first.
^ Carry out a test drive (not less than 20 minutes).
^ Switch the ignition off and on again once only.
^ The reading "Wheel FL" should now appear in display box 1 of measured value block 001.
