Measuring values for Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263-, Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor -G89-, Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- and calculated outside temperature transmitted to instrument cluster

Display Field 1:

- The temperature of Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263- is regulated to the following values depending on A/C Control Head -E87- adjustment and and the outside temperature:
- under normal operation between 2 °C and 15 °C
- at outside temperatures less than 18 °C minimum 3 °C under determined outside temperature, however not less than 2 °C.
- at outside temperatures less than 3 °C but not less than 2 °C.
- at outside temperatures less than 21 °C and rain (windshield wiper switched on) at least 6 °C below the determined outside temperature, however not less than 2 °C.
- At pre-selected temperature "Lo" at A/C Control Head -E87- to 2 °C
- In operating mode "Defrost" on A/C Control Head -E87- to 2 °C.
- In operating mode "recirculation mode" on A/C Control Head -E87- to at least 5 °C, however not less than 2 °C.

The following applies for vehicles with compressors using A/C clutch -N25- (coding of -E87-):
- The compressor performance cannot be externally regulated, therefore the Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263- is not installed.
- On these vehicles the air temperatures after the evaporator is determined via the low pressure in the refrigerant circuit. On these vehicles, if the measured blow-out temperatures, measured by the other temperature sensors is below 2 °C send vehicle to authorized A/C workshop (evaporator temperature is too low).
