Flywheel or drive plate, removing and installing

Removing
Transmission removed

WARNING: Turning of the engine must only occur in direction of engine rotation (clockwise) at the crankshaft

- Turn crankshaft via central bolt of toothed belt gear in direction of engine rotation to TDC Cyl. 3 marking.





^ Notch -1- is opposite marking -2
- If installed, disconnect electrical harness connector at after-run coolant pump.
- Unscrew sealing plug of TDC mark at cylinder block.





- Thread T40026 locking pin into the hole of the removed sealing plug and tighten.

Note: Slightly turn crankshaft back and forth to do so.

- Remove clutch pressure plate.
- Remove damper unit.
- Mark flywheel to engine.
- Unbolt flywheel.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Note: Needle bearing is located in the flywheel and must be driven in when flywheel is replaced, Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.

- Replace bolts and tighten.
- Install clutch pressure plate.
- Install damper unit.
- Remove T10026 alignment bolt and thread sealing plug of TDC marking with new O-ring into cylinder block.





1) 90° corresponds to 1/4 rotation
2) Replace bolts
3) 180° correspond to 1/2 rotation
Tightening torques
