Connect Diagnostic Tester

Special tools and equipment







- Vehicle Diagnostic and Information System VAS 5052 with diagnostic wire VAS 5052/3

Test requirements:
- Fuses for engine electronics OK
- Ground (GND) connections at engine and transmission OK
- Battery voltage at least 12.7 V
- Parking brake engaged.
- Vehicles with automatic transmission: Selector lever in position "P" or "N".
- Electrical consumers switched off (radiator fan must NOT run during test).
- A/C switched off.

Work procedure
- Switch ignition off.







- Connect Vehicle Diagnostic and Information System VAS 5052 with diagnostic wire VAS 5052/3.

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions.

Depending on the desired mode "Selectable diagnostic modes" table: Selectable Diagnostic Modes Under Address Word 33-OBD
- Switch ignition on.
