Front Seat Backrest, Assembly Overview

CAUTION: Observe relevant safety precautions for vehicles installed with side airbags.







1 - Backrest
- Removing
- Remove seat.
- Attach fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 to engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach front seat to fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove side trim, outboard side.
- Remove side trim, inboard side.
2 - Wiring harness
3 - Bolts (4x)
- Tightening torque 20 Nm
4 - Plastic washer
5 - Bracket
6 - Bolt
7 - Clip
8 - Seat pan







1 - Cable ties (2x)
- Open cable ties - 1 - (2x).
- Detach rubber straps - 2 - (2x).
- Disconnect connectors - 5 - (4x).
- Remove cable tie - 3 - on wiring harness.
- Detach adhesive strips on mounting rails - 4 - (5x).

4 - Mounting rails (5x)
5 - Connectors (4x)







1 - Backrest
- Removing
- Remove bolt - 6 -.
- Twist clip - 7 - upward.
- Remove bolts - 3 - (4x).
- Tilt backrest - 1 - forwards onto seat.
- Move padding to one side and carefully lift wiring harness - 2 - out of seat pan - 8 -.
- Remove backrest - 1 -.
- Installing
- To instal clip - 5 -: Secure bolt - 6 - firmly to plastic washer - 4 -.
- Always use new bolts - 3 - (4x).
- Before inserting bolts - 3 - (4x) recut the thread in the backrest frame.
- For memory seat: After installing seat in vehicle perform basic setting of backrest and seat.

6 - Bolt
7 - Clip
8 - Seat pan
