Electronic Power Control Warning Lamp, Checking

Functional check on EPC warning lamp

- Switch ignition on.

• The engine control module switches on the EPC warning lamp.

- Start engine.

• Shortly after starting the engine the EPC warning lamp goes out if no DTC in relation to the electronic throttle is stored in the DTC memory.

• The switch-on signal for the malfunction lamp is transferred via CAN bus to the instrument cluster by the engine control module.
