Seat Pan Cover and Cushion, Standard Seat

Separating from Seat Pan





1 - Cover and Cushion

Removing

- Remove seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove drawer. Refer to => [ Drawer ] Front Seats.

- Remove backrest adjustment wheel. Refer to => [ Backrest Adjusting Wheel ] Front Seats.

- Remove seat height adjustment handle. Refer to => [ Seat Height Adjustment Handle ] Front Seats.

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Sill Side ] Front Seats.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Tunnel Side ] Front Seats.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Seats.

- Disconnect the seat heater connector -3-.

- Cut the clip - 2 - (Qty. 2) with a knife.

- Pry out the rear molding - 4 -.

- Pry out the molding - 5 - all the way around.

- Remove cover and cushion - 1 -.

- For vehicles with LATCH bracket and new cover - 1 -, cover must be cut in at LATCH bracket.

1 - Cover

Removing

- Pry out grip channels - 3 - from plastic clips - 2 - using a screwdriver.

- Remove cover - 1 -.

- For vehicles with LATCH bracket and new cover - 1 -, cover must be cut in at LATCH bracket.

Installing

- Replace damaged plastic clips.

- First press in transverse beam plastic clips.

- To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

Cut into new cover on left and right sides at a length of approx. 60 mm.
