Seat Height Adjustment Unit Release Cable






Front Seats

From 06.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front Seats has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from June 2006 ] Front Seats.

The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.

Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.

Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Front Seats.

1 - Seat Height Adjustment Unit Cable

Removing

- Remove seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Sill Side ] Side Trim, Sill Side.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Tunnel Side ] Side Trim, Tunnel Side.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Backrest.

- Disengage release. Refer to - 10 - from bracket - 2 -.

- Disengage eyelet. Refer to - 4 - from pins - 3 -.

- Disengage release - 10 - from bracket - 5 -.

- Disengage release on hook - 7 - from bracket - 6 -.

Installing

- Install the seat height adjustment unit cable - 1 - in reverse order to removal.
