Front Seats

• From 06.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front Seats has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from June 2006 ] Front Seats.

• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.

• Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.

• Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Front Seats.

1 - Backrest

2 - Screws (Qty. 4)

3 - Backrest Adjusting Wheel

4 - Plastic Rivets (Qty. 2)

• replace

5 - Seat Height Adjustment Handle

6 - Side Trim (Sill Side)

• Removing

- Remove seat..

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove backrest adjustment wheel. Refer to => [ Backrest Adjusting Wheel ] Backrest Adjusting Wheel.

- Remove seat height adjustment handle. Refer to => [ Seat Height Adjustment Handle ] Seat Height Adjustment Handle.

- Place screwdriver on plastic rivet head - 4 -.

- Remove plastic rivet - 4 - by turning screwdriver.

- Remove the second plastic rivet - 4 - in the same way.

- Remove the side trim - 6 - on the sill side.

• Installing

- Install side panel on door sill side - 6 - in reverse order of removal.
