Side Trim, Sill Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)





• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)









1 Backrest

2 Rear Side Trim (Sill Side)

• Removing

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Power Front Memory Seat ] Power Front Memory Seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Loosen footwell cover retaining strip from side panel. Refer to => [ Footwell Cover Retaining Strip, Loosening ].

- Position a screwdriver to head of plastic rivet - 3 - (Qty. 2).

- Pry out plastic rivet - 3 - (Qty. 2) by turning the screwdriver.

- Remove screw - 4 -.

- Disengage rear side panel - 2 - at bracket - 5 - upward.

- Disconnect rear side panel - 2 - from front side panel - 8 - using a turning motion in direction of arrow.

- Pull side panel - 8 - toward front in order to disengage eyelet - 7 - from bracket - 11 -.

- Disengage front side panel - 8 - upward at brackets - 6 - (Qty. 2).

- Open locking mechanism - 9 -.

- Disconnect connectors - 10 - (Qty. 3).

- Remove front side panel - 8 -.

• Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. When doing so, note the following:

- Slide footwell fastening strip into side trim bracket. Refer to => [ Footwell Cover Retaining Strip, Loosening ]

8 Front Side Trim (Sill Side)

9 Catch

10 Connector

• Quantity: 3

11 Retainer

13 Plastic Rivets

• Quantity: 2
