Backrest Release Microswitch





1 - Cable Tie

Removing

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Sill Side ] Side Trim, Sill Side.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Tunnel Side ] Side Trim, Tunnel Side.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Backrest.

- Remove backrest cover panel. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Backrest Cover.

- Remove backrest frame. Refer to => [ Backrest Frame ] Backrest Frame.

- Remove cover and padding from backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion, Sport and Standard Seats ] Front Seat Covers and Cushion, Power Memory Seats.

- Use a screwdriver to pry out circlip - 3 -.

- Press the tabs - 5 - (Qty. 2) together and remove the micro switch - 4 -.

- Remove connector - 2 -.

Installing

- Press the micro switch - 4 - in until the tabs - 5 - (Qty. 2) engage.

- Connect the connector - 2 -.

- Install the cover and padding from backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion, Sport and Standard Seats ] Front Seat Covers and Cushion, Power Memory Seats.

- Install the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Backrest.

- Install the seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Seat.

- Install the backrest release micro switch. Refer to => [ Backrest Release Microswitch, Adjusting ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Install the circlip - 3 -.

- Install the backrest frame. Refer to => [ Backrest Frame ] Backrest Frame.

- Install the backrest cover. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Backrest Cover.
