Vehicle Information

44 TPM warning light lit on vehicle with tinted windows





Condition

- Tire Pressure Monitoring warning light is on.

- Various DTCs may be stored (voltage supply, no/low antenna signal, etc.).

Technical Background

On vehicles where a window tint film was installed, it is possible that water entered the tire pressure control module during the window tint installation.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

1. If you encounter a vehicle with a tire pressure control system failure and the windows are tinted, check if the failure occurred shortly after the window tint was installed.

2. Inspect the control module and wiring connections for signs of water damage before servicing any other components.

This damage is due to outside influence and is not covered by any Audi warranty.
