Bench Seat, from November 2004





Removing

- Pull the bench seat, on the front edge, up and out of the left and right mounting grommets - 1 -.

- Disengage bench seat from mounting - 4 - on left and right, forcefully push bench seat backward to do so.

- On vehicles with seat heaters, lift bench seat far enough so that electrical harness connectors can be disconnected.

- Remove electrical harness connector for side airbag from groove. Refer to => [ Side Airbag Cable Connector ].

- Remove the bench seat from vehicle.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

CAUTION!
The mounting grommets must be replaced each time the bench seat is removed. Refer to => [ Replacing Mountings ].

- Remove used mounting from chassis cut-out.

- Insert the new mounting grommet - 2 - into the body opening until it engages - 1 -.
