Upper C-Pillar Trim

Removing

CAUTION!
Observe the safety precautions for repairs on airbags.

- Remove the rear bench seat => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

- Remove side airbag => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seats

- Remove luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ].

- Lift spring latch - arrow A -.





- Slide belt guide - 1 - back out of bracket - arrow B -.

Screws on underside of belt guide must not be turned. If they are turned, belt guide must be replaced.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Pull upper C-pillar trim - 2 - up from body - arrow A -.

- Remove upper C-pillar trim downward - arrow B -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Upper C-pillar trim threaded holes must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screws could lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.

They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

Replace self-locking screws.

Replace damaged spring clamps.

- When inserting upper C-pillar trim - 3 -, ensure retaining strap - 2 - engages in body cut-out - arrow - and headliner - 1 -.





- Slide in belt guide until it engages with a click.

Screws on underside of belt guide must not be turned. If they are turned, belt guide must be replaced.

- Pull door seal lip over trim edge on all door cut-outs.

- Install luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ].

- Install side airbag => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seats

- Install the rear bench seat => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

Tightening Specifications





* Replace screws.
