• Upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634)

1 Cover and Upholstery

• Removing

- Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Power Front Memory Seat ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Sill Side Trim ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove drawer. Refer to => [ Drawer, through 06.2006 ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove the screws - 3 - (2x).

- Remove bracket - 2 -.

- Remove clip - 4 -.

2 Retainer

1 Seat Cushion Extension

- Pull out seat cushion extension - 1 - completely.

- Remove nuts - 2 - (4x).

- Disconnect connector for seat heater - 5 -.

- Disengage tabs - 3 - (quantity: 2).

- Pry out grip channels - 4 - all around.

- Remove cover and upholstery.

• Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

- Pry out grip channels - 2 - (quantity: 5).

- Pry out clips - 1 - (quantity: 3).

- Remove seat cushion extension - 3 -.

- Loosen cable ties - 1 - (quantity: 2).

- Pry out rods - 2 - (quantity: 2).

• Removing

- Cut the upholstery clips - 2 -.

- Remove cover - 1 -.

• Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Be sure to note the following:

- When installing new upholstery clips, use (V.A.G 1634).
