Vehicle Information

RVU - 3.2 V6 FSI ECM update (CN / 24N1)

Condition

This RVU has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle:

^ Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is illuminated.

^ DTC P0456 (EVAP Emissions control system very small leak detected) is stored in ECM data memory.

This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) is in effect for 15 months from date of publication. After that date, this RVU will expire and no longer be in effect.

Vehicle must meet all of the following criteria:

^ Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the CN/24N1 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair.

^ Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.

^ Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.

^ Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory prior to sale.

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.

2. Update the Engine Control Module (J623) using SVM action code as listed in the table below if necessary.
