Microphone Unit in Front Roof Module Overview, from 11.2008

The microphone unit (in front roof module) (R164) in installed in the front interior light (W1). Depending on the equipment, there are up to three microphones installed.

One microphone ( inside microphone (R74) ) is connected directly to the digital sound system control module (J525). The other microphones are connected to the information electronics control module 1 (J794).

Microphone Unit in Front Roof Module (R164)





1. Microphone (blue) for the information electronics control module 1 (MMI)/ telephone transceiver (R36) (CAN, left-hand drive vehicles).

2. Radar Interior Monitoring Control Module 1 (G303).

3. Microphone (black) for the information electronics control module 1 (MMI)/telephone transceiver (CAN, right-hand drive vehicles).

4. Inside microphone (R74) (black) for the digital sound system control module.

5. 6-pin connector (T6c)

2. 6-pin connector (T6c), pins 1 and 2: Left front microphone (black), Pins 3 and 4: Inside microphone (R74) (black), pins 5 and 6: front right microphone (blue)
