Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamps

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Pry Lever - Rmv Outside Mirror (80 - 200)

Protective gloves

Removing

CAUTION!
Risk of injury.

Wear protective gloves.

To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Press mirror glass - 1 - out of mirror adjusting unit - arrow - using (80 - 200).





- Disconnect the mirror heating electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 - on the rear side of the mirror glass - 1 -.





- Unclip the electrical connector from the bracket - 5 -, if applicable.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 4 -.

- Remove the bolts - 4 - and - 5 -.





- Release the retaining tabs - 3 - in the direction of - arrow A -.

- Release the retaining clip - 1 - and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing - 2 - from the cover - B arrows -.

- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and pull the exterior rearview mirror housing - 1 - upward slightly.





- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - for the lane change assist warning lamp on the front side of the mirror adjusting unit mount - 3 -.

- Pull the exterior mirror housing upward and disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.





Ignore items - 1, 2 and 4 - and the - arrow -.

- Release the retaining tabs - A arrows - and press the lane change assist warning lamp - 1 - out of the exterior rearview mirror housing - 2 - - arrow B -.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

If an LED is faulty, the entire lane change assistance warning lamp in the exterior rearview mirror must be replaced.

- Install the exterior rearview mirror housing.
