Front Brakes, RS 6

• always install complete repair set

• After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

• When siphoning brake fluid, always use a bleeder bottle that is used exclusively for brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!

• Check brake caliper for ease of movement by moving it sideways.





1 Bolt

• 196 Nm

2 Brake caliper

• Do not disassemble the brake caliper. Do not loosen any screws on the brake caliper.

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6 ] Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6

• Replace, refer to => [ Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6 ] Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6

3 Tension Strut

4 Brake disc

• for allocation and wear limit, refer to => [ Brakes System ] Brakes System

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6 ] Brake Caliper, Front Brake, RS 6

• Replace, refer to => [ Front Ceramic Brake Disc, C/SIC Caliper ] Front Ceramic Brake Disc, C/SIC Caliper

5 Bolt

• 10 Nm

6 Brake pads

• with the brake pad wear wire on the inside of the brake pad

• Make sure that it is installed in the correct position

• The balance weights face the brake disc.

• Removing and installing, refer to=> [ Front Brake Pads, RS 6 ] Brake Pad

7 Brake pad wear wire

• on the left and right brake calipers

• on the inside of each brake pad

8 Brake pad retaining pins

• Make sure that it is installed in the correct position

• press all the way from the inside toward the outside

9 Bolt

• for the tension strut

• 30 Nm

• Replace

10 Brake pad securing spring

• Make sure that it is installed in the correct position

11 Brake line connection to brake caliper

• Tightening specification, 19 Nm

• loosen only when changing the brake calipers

12 Bolt

• for the brake line bracket

• 10 Nm

13 Bracket

• Bolt to brake caliper housing

• Hook in brake line
