Left and Right Engine Mounts






Left and Right Engine Mounts

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)

Engine Support Supplement Set (T40093)

Removing

During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.

- Remove rear engine cover - 2 - - arrows -.





- Remove rubber seal - 1 - and remove plenum chamber cover - 2 -.





- Mount the Adapter (10 - 222 A /4) with the two Spindles (10 - 222 A /11) and the supports (T40093/1) and (T40093/2) on the left and right strut towers as illustrated.





The supports are marked for the left and right side of the vehicle.

- Engage the Hooks (10 - 222 A /10) into the rear engine lift eyes.

- Remove both front wheels.

- Open the quick-release fasteners - 1 - and - 2 - and remove noise insulation.





- Remove the left and right nuts - arrows - and bolt - 2 - and then remove the crossmember together with the stabilizer bar.





CAUTION!
Do not loosen the subframe bolts - 2 - and - 3 -. Risk of accident.







- Remove the bolts - 3 - and - 4 - and remove the engine mount brackets.

- Lower front subframe.

Left engine mount:

- Disconnect the connector - arrow - on the Left Electro-Hydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N144).

- Remove bolts - 1 to 4 - and remove engine support from engine mount.





Right engine mount:

- Disconnect the connector - arrow - on the Right Electro-Hydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N145).





- Remove bolts - 1 to 4 - and remove engine support from engine mount.

Continued for both sides:

- Remove bolt - arrow - and remove engine mount from engine support.





Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

- Install subframe.

- Install stabilizer bar.

- Mount the front wheels.
