Connecting Elements to A/C Unit Doors

Removing

- Remove the respective control motor => [ A/C Unit Electrical Components ] A/C Unit Electrical Components (remove and install the A/C unit electrical components with the unit installed).

- Insert the Release Tool (T40072)- A - in the openings - E - on the connecting element - C - as shown in the illustration.





• The Release Tool (T40072) - A - is inserted at different depths for the different versions of the connecting elements - C -.

- Press the Release Tool (T40072) toward the connecting element - C - and release the latches - D - by turning the wheel - B - in the direction of the arrow.

- Remove the connecting element - C - from the A/C unit.

Installing

- Lightly coat the bearing area of the connecting element - A - in the A/C unit with lubricant (such as Lubricant (G 000 150)).





• The figure shows the connecting element at the center vent door.

- Check the position of the door - F - in the A/C unit, making sure the door sits correctly in the second bearing area.

- Check the retaining tabs - D - on the connecting piece - C - for damage

- Insert the connecting piece - C - in the mount - B - on the door - F -, paying attention to the grooves on the connecting piece - C - and the pins in the door mount.

- Check the connecting element retainer - C - in the A/C unit.

- Check the door - F - and the connecting piece - C - for ease of movement.
