Headlamp, Reusing Current Headlamp

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Adjustment Gauge (3371)

Removing

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into 0 position.

- Remove front bumper cover.

- Before removing, measure dimension - a - between headlamp - 2 - and spacer - 1 - and note dimension.





• When removing mounting bolts, always secure adjustment nuts - 1 - of adjusting elements against turning - arrows -.





- Remove bolts - 1 through 3 -.





- Remove headlamp toward front.

- Disconnect connector.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Halogen Headlamps Assembly Overview ] Halogen Headlamps Assembly Overview.

• When installing mounting bolts, always secure adjustment nuts - 1 - of adjusting elements against turning - arrows -.





- Install the headlamp and turn the bolts - 1 through 3 - 2 rotations each.





- Align headlamp - 2 - according to noted dimension - a - toward spacer - 1 -.





- Bring front bumper cover to installation position (do not bolt on).

- Align dimensions - a through c - of headlamp - 1 - opposite to bumper cover - 2 - and fender - 3 - using adjustment gauge (3371).





• Dimension - a - = 2.3 mm

• Dimension - b - = 2 mm

• Dimension - c - = 1.2 mm

• Headlamp must be flush toward outer edge of fender.

• Lower edge of headlamp must be parallel to upper edge of bumper.

- Tighten bolt - 1 -, do not press bolt while tightening.





- Remove front bumper cover.

- Tighten bolts - 2 - and - 3 -, align headlamp flush to outer edge of fender while doing so.

- Install front bumper cover.

- Check gap dimensions again, repeat adjustment of gap dimensions if necessary, as described above.

- Adjust headlamps after installing.
