Electronic Damping Control Module

Removing

It is not necessary to code and adapt the control module when it is replaced. For this reason, it is not possible to perform "Replace" in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 A).

The new electronic damping control module (J250) can be used right away.

The electronic damping control module (J250) is installed on the plenum chamber bulkhead behind the glove compartment.

- Remove the cover - A - from the lower glove compartment cover - B -.






The cover - A - is secured by 4 retainers in the lower glove compartment cover - B -. These retainer can be difficult to remove, therefore be careful not to damage them when removing the lower glove compartment cover - B -.

- Remove bolts - 1 -.






- Remove the control module - 2 - downward.

- Release and remove the connectors - arrows - from the control module.

- Remove control module - 2 -.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the electrical connectors - arrows -.

- Install the bolts - 1 - and tighten to 2 Nm.
